We’re here!!

We arrived in Bergen, Norway on Monday 5th - safe and sound after a fairly long day of traveling involved 2 planes and a train :)

we were delighted when we arrived at Bergen Airport to be met by one of our hosts, Aina who has been a great source of information and help.

After checking into our hostel it was time for pizza followed by a short stroll down the Bryggen before bed.

Tuesday started with just a little more travel by bus this time, to Os - the town near our base for this week.

We are staying in a lovely school about 40 minutes from Bergen. It is near the sea with great views of the mountains in the distance. The school is a specialist music school the rest of the year, where young people come and live during their studies. It’s really well equipped and the food is fab!!

Our fellow youth exchangers are from Bergen and the surrounding area and they have really made us feel welcome and taught us some Norwegian games including one called fruit salad - we’re looking forward to bringing that one home with us!
